ABOUT THE FUND

The City of Anniston Fund provides charitable grants and expenditures within the city limits of Anniston, Alabama.

 
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Individuals that meet the following requirements are eligible to apply for assistance.  All requirements must be met.

  1. Own a home within the Anniston, AL corporate city limits (refer to city map of corporate city limits);
  2. Are either over 60, or mentally or physically disabled, or low income; and
  3. Application must be for residential property that you own and occupy as your primary residence. 
 
GRANT APPLICATION:
  • Applications due May 13, 2024, by 5:00 pm
  • Apply online only at www.cfnea.org 
  • Maximum request of $2,500
  • Incomplete applications will not be reviewed
 
 APPLICATION REVIEW
  • A confirmation e-mail will be sent to applicants regarding their application status.
  • Grant Review Committee Members will evaluate applications on a competitive basis. 
  • Funding is not guaranteed.
  • Funding recommendations from the Grant Review Committee are made to the Community Foundation’s Board of Trustees.
  • Applicants will be notified by email of award decisions.
  • Decisions are final with no appeal.
 
AWARD AND REPORTING PROCEDURES
  • Awards will be paid to not-for-profit organizations or businesses providing the goods or services, or the Community Foundation will reimburse expenses paid.
  • Grantees are required to submit a one-time final report explaining the impact of the grant. 
  • A final report must be submitted in order to apply for funding from CFNEA in the future.

Credit Union Partner’s Helping Hands Foundation Fund

The Alabama Teachers Credit Union and Family Savings Credit Union created the Credit Union Partner’s Helping Hands Foundation Fund because they recognized the need to provide support to individuals in their service areas who have emergency or unmet needs.
 

Applications are accepted continuously. The maximum amount that may be requested is $2,500.

 
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Individuals that meet the following requirements are eligible to apply for assistance.  All requirements must be met.

  1. Live in an area served by one of the credit unions;
  2. Are either over 60, disabled, have low income, or mentally or physically challenged; and
  3. Have an immediate need due to a local disaster, emergency, or unmet need. 
 
AREAS CONSIDERED FOR FUNDING INCLUDE:
  • Home repair that corrects a health hazard
  • Home repair that assists individuals with disabilities 
  • Immediate food or shelter needs not met by any other agency
  • Immediate health care needs not met by any other agency

Once an application is made a Grant Review Committee will evaluate applications monthly on a competitive basis.

Town of Hobson City
Council Fund

The Town of Hobson City Council Fund provides charitable grants and expenditures within the town limits of Hobson City, Alabama. The deadline for applications is January 31, 2023, by 5:00 pm. The maximum amount that may be requested is up to $3,000.

 

 
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Individuals that meet the following requirements are eligible to apply for assistance. All requirements must be met.

  1. Own a home within the Hobson City, AL town limits;
  2. Are either disabled or low-income;
  3. Application must be for residential property that you own and occupy as your primary residence;
  4. he home must be insured; and
  5. The mayor, city council members, and family members living in the same home with them are ineligible to apply for any assistance through this grant opportunity.
 
AREAS CONSIDERED FOR FUNDING INCLUDE:
  • Minor residential property repairs that correct a health or safety hazard.
